How to Delete All Posts on Facebook Timeline Automatically

If you live in a country where your job prospects can be marred by your social media activities, it’s always a wise idea to be extremely careful about what you post on websites like Facebook. A silly Facebook update might not even affect your job search now, it may later haunt you in the future when you find it being used against you.
It’s been three years since we posted an article on how to wipe your Facebook timeline and strip it down to nothing but we all know how Facebook changes every now and then, breaking tricks and hacks discovered to make the social media platform more useable. An Android app to delete your Facebook timeline was also released which we wrote about but I’m sure Facebook has killed this already. The trick posted in the article to wipe clean Facebook timeline no longer works and we were contacted by one of our users who brought it to our notice.
I tried it and realized it was true. iMacros is a Firefox plugin that automatically loops whatever you tell it to do on a web page. Simply tell it to delete a post and loop it, it keeps doing it till every single post has been deleted.

The new timeline doesn’t support this add-on but then I just personally discovered a way around it that works pretty well. If you’re worried about past status updates and photos on your Facebook timeline messing up your job prospects or personal life, here’s a way out.

Using iMacros to Delete all Facebook Timeline Posts

This is tested on Mozilla Firefox browser and it’s recommended for this to work. This may stop working any time since Facebook keeps changing and we’re not sure how long it’s going to last. As of today July 13, 2014, it works pretty well.
- Install iMacros addon and restart your browser.
- Visit your http://m.facebook.com and click on your profile.
- Now click on the iMacros icon on your browser, possibly at the top.

- It should now appear on your sidebar. Click on Rec tab and then click the Record button.
- Click Remove on the first post  on your timeline

- And confirm the deletion.

- Now click Stop on iMacros and then Save. Name it whatever you like.

- Click on the Play tab.
- Highlight the iMacros loop you just saved.
- Write how many times you want to loop this. I recommend 30 and then repeat it when it’s done deleting 30 posts. Anything above this might not work.
- Now click on the Play button to set it in motion.

- Now sit back, relax and watch the magic happen. You can switch to another tab and just go ahead doing something else but be sure to check once in a while to see if the posts are still being deleted.
